I need help from a molecular biologist :)?

i have to do this short monologue where I'm supposed to be a molecular biologist (I'm in the 12th grade). so what do molecular biologists do, besides the obvious? and why do you find the job exciting/boring/both? what 'inspired' you to be one? and how do you think you and your colleagues impact the world? also, could you please tell me something not everybody knows about the profession, because from what i've read it's all the same thing at the lab. just need some ideas from the people who's been through it :) i really find it interesting. thanks for your time! :D
