Why do fundies continue to site bogus science?

Fundies of all three Abraham faiths constantly deny science. When a fundie who actually has a degree in science or something smart they always argue out of their field. You wont find any biologist or geologist denying old earth or evolution. But a guy with a degree in physics or theology who is of strong faith seems a-ok with going out of his field. (also geologist or biologist who beleive the current sScitheory'scthorys but belive magic creator guy had a hand in it dosent really count as fundies) just wondering why 40% of the u.s thinks that what scietists in there respective fields say isnt true sorry about spelling in grammer but its the internet not my junior class so suck it
