Well... it seems to me like he doesn't want to take away time from your "youth" I am not calling you young at all!(: don't worry. But he probably thinks that if you two are together, that you won't be able to experience what most 21 year olds experience. Because there is quite a lot to experience at that age right?(: haha... But he feels that he might be keeping you away from some of the important things that everyone should experience in their lifetime. And it seems to me that he doesn't want to be held responsible for that you know? But he made it pretty obvious that he does care for you a lot, as well as your future(:
