Yes - and it has been going on, in the open, with published results, scathing disagreements over fine points between adherents, exposure of bad or fraudlent findings, and co-opting geneticists that weren't around when the theory was first formulated. Who would think you could run a conspiracy in such a brazen manner worldwide?
